Róisín qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2017 with a 1st Class Honours BSc in Physiotherapy. Since then, she has worked for both the NHS in various community settings and in private practice.
Through her work with patients in the community, Róisín has a wealth of experience providing individualised treatment programmes by working with her patients to achieve goals suited to their lifestyle, fitness levels and home environment.
Women’s Health and Pelvic Physiotherapy is where Róisín’s passions lie - helping women regain confidence in performing daily activities, maintaining a strong and healthy pelvic floor and lead a full life without the fear of leaks. The stigma and embarrassment surrounding bladder problems coupled with the acceptance that this is a normal occurrence following childbirth/menopause, is one that Róisín wants to combat with open discussions, provision of knowledge and simple exercise. She firmly believes that jumping should not be an activity you only do as a child!
Currently alongside her MSK physiotherapy role, Róisín also works as a First Contact Practitioner (FCP physiotherapist) in General Practice for the White House Clinic. This role relies heavily on her ability to make rapid and accurate diagnosis, implementing early and appropriate intervention, and also recognising the need for onward referral if and where necessary to ensure patients receive the best treatment available as soon as possible.
Outside of work, Róisín enjoys spending time with her husband and 2 children and slowly renovating her house (3 years and counting now!). With so little time in-between, she enjoys keeping fit with HIIT sessions.
Our team are ready and waiting to assist with your recovery.
