Ric Lockhart

Ric qualified from Sheffield Hallam University with a BSc (Hons) degree in Physiotherapy in 2009.

Since qualifying, Ric has worked in private practice and for various sporting events. Having a background in athletics Ric has worked closely with athletes in order to assess, treat and prevent injury and correct biomechanics and has developed a special interest in musculoskeletal injuries.

Having competed internationally in athletics as a Hammer Thrower, Ric naturally progressed on to gain qualifications in athletics coaching, strength and conditioning and biomechanical analysis to compliment his practice. Ric is a registered with the HCPC and CSP and is also a qualified acupuncturist with full membership to the AACP.

Ric’s experience has led him to deliver training nationwide on biomechanical analysis of the lower limb and he has had the opportunity to provide first aid and physiotherapy at various national sporting events.

When not training at the gym or swimming, Ric is a keen snowboarder.
