White House Clinic partners with ISOBAR to introduce precision-engineered compression therapy

The White House Clinic has announced a new partnership with ISOBAR to bring precision-engineered compression therapy into its physiotherapy and rehabilitation services across South Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.

The collaboration introduces a more personalised approach to compression therapy, supporting patients recovering from injury, managing swelling, or dealing with ongoing circulation-related symptoms.

Compression therapy is widely used within rehabilitation to support circulation, reduce swelling, and improve comfort during recovery. However, traditional compression garments are often based on standard sizing, which can result in inconsistent pressure and reduced effectiveness.

Research suggests that up to 60% of generic compression garments may not deliver the intended pressure, often due to poor fit.

Through this partnership, the White House Clinic clinicians can now incorporate ISOBAR’s custom compression solutions into treatment plans where appropriate. Using ISOFIT® video scanning technology, garments are tailored to the individual, helping deliver consistent and targeted compression.

This supports:

  • Management of swelling and fluid build-up
  • Improved comfort during movement and rehabilitation
  • Support for circulation
  • Ongoing recovery following injury or surgery

The introduction of ISOBAR compression also creates new opportunities to support active patients and athletes. For runners, cyclists, triathletes, and those involved in field sports and gym-based training, precision-fitted compression can be used alongside physiotherapy to help manage load, support recovery, and maintain performance during training.

James Walker, Service Development Director & Senior Physiotherapist said:

Compression therapy can play an important role in rehabilitation, but traditional off-the-shelf products don’t always allow us to prescribe it with confidence. This partnership allows us to offer a more personalised approach, where compression can be tailored to the individual and integrated more effectively into treatment plans. It strengthens how we support patients through recovery and rehabilitation, as well as those looking to stay active and perform at their best.

Clive Gunther, CEO at ISOBAR, said:

We’re delighted to partner with White House Clinic. Their commitment to clinical excellence and patient-centred care makes them an ideal partner as we expand access to precision-engineered compression therapy within physiotherapy practice. Through this collaboration, we can support more patients managing health conditions, athletes recovering faster, and individuals staying active and mobile.

ISOBAR compression is already used within elite sport, including organisations such as British Cycling, GB Aquatics and Manchester City FC.

The introduction of ISOBAR at White House Clinic reflects an ongoing focus on evidence-based treatment and improving patient outcomes through clinically appropriate solutions.

Patients who may benefit from compression therapy can discuss this with their physiotherapist during an appointment.
