Physiotherapy in Dronfield: the White House Clinic is back, inside Padel 18
The White House Clinic is back in Dronfield. The clinic has moved to a new home inside Padel 18 on Callywhite Lane. Physiotherapy - back and neck pain, joints, sports injuries and post-operative rehabilitation - is bookable online or by phone, without a referral, and so is sports massage.
Nearly one in five adults in England report living with a long-term musculoskeletal condition [1]. Having somewhere local to get seen shortens the gap between a problem starting and something being done about it.
Where is the Dronfield clinic?
The Dronfield clinic is inside Padel 18, Units 5C & 5D, Callywhite Lane, Dronfield, S18 2NS - the same building as the courts. Practical detail is kept current on our Dronfield clinic page.
Getting into the building matters as much as the appointment itself, particularly after surgery or when walking is painful. The venue has step-free toilet access, wheelchair access, a full-access bathroom and plenty of parking on site. If you are not sure whether the building will suit you, call 0114 230 2030 before you book and we will talk it through.
What can you book at the Dronfield clinic?
Physiotherapy - the same service you would get at any other of the White House Clinic's sites. The venue invites the wrong assumption, so it is worth being direct: this is not a padel-only or sport-specific clinic. Physiotherapists at Dronfield assess and treat:
- back and neck pain
- shoulder pain and injuries
- knee pain and injuries
- foot and ankle problems
- sports injuries, from recreational to competitive
- post-operative rehabilitation after joint replacement, ligament repair and other surgery
That is our standard physiotherapy service: assessment, hands-on treatment, exercise-based rehabilitation, and a plan you can follow between appointments.
Sports massage is bookable at Dronfield as well, and it is booked the same way as physiotherapy. It is hands-on soft-tissue work aimed at easing muscle tightness and supporting recovery, whether you are training hard or stiff from work and everyday life.
Your physiotherapist at Dronfield
Appointments at Dronfield are with Simon Farrell, First Contact Practitioner & Senior MSK Physiotherapist. Simon holds a first-class honours degree in Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University, works in sports injury rehabilitation, strength and conditioning and MSK physiotherapy, and has worked with Sheffield United Academy and the Sheffield Rugby Union Football Club first XV. He is a tennis player and a former level 2 tennis coach, which is a fair fit for a clinic inside a racket-sport venue.
All the White House Clinic's physiotherapists are HCPC-registered and members of the Chartered Society of Physiotherapy, and many hold additional qualifications in specialist areas.
About Padel 18
Padel 18 is a new indoor padel venue on Callywhite Lane, with four indoor doubles courts and one indoor singles court, open 06:00-23:00 seven days a week. Those are the venue's hours rather than the clinic's.
Built by players for players, Padel 18 is an inclusive venue where a seasoned competitor and a junior picking up a racket for the first time are equally welcome. Alongside the courts there is coffee, seating, a fully licensed bar, a bookable sauna, a gym area and a conference room. You can read more about the venue at Padel 18.
Courts are booked through Playtomic, the booking platform Padel 18 use. Physiotherapy appointments are not - those are booked through the White House Clinic, and the two are completely separate.
If you play, we have also written about where to play padel across Sheffield, Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire.
How do you book an appointment at the Dronfield clinic?
You can book an appointment online at any time, or call 0114 230 2030 to speak to the team. You do not need to be an existing patient - you can book directly.
What a network of 14 clinics adds to a local one
Dronfield is one of the White House Clinic's 14 clinics across South Yorkshire, North East Derbyshire and Nottinghamshire, and the network is the reason a local clinic can offer more than its own four walls. If an assessment points to something that is not delivered at Dronfield - shockwave therapy, a diagnostic ultrasound scan, a sports and exercise medicine opinion, or neurological or women's health physiotherapy - it can usually be arranged at another of our clinics rather than starting again with a new provider.
