Edward is a registered sports and exercise nutritionist (SENr) with prior experience in professional football and private healthcare. He currently provides a consultancy service at the White House Clinic for individuals concerned with health, weight management and exercise performance, and more specifically for climbers through the Sheffield Climbing Clinic.
Edward is also a doctoral researcher at the Centre for Sport and Human Performance, Sheffield Hallam University. He completed his undergraduate degree in BSc Sport and Exercise Science in 2013 and specialised in sport nutrition through the International Olympic Committee post-graduate programme. His PhD project titled ‘Nutritional considerations for climbing’ aims to provide fundamental nutritional guidelines for the sport to promote optimal health and performance. Specific interests include the current nutritional status and weight management strategies of climbers, from the recreational to the elite.
