Sally graduated with a BSc (hons) Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in 2008. She has completed massage for physiotherapists and Pilates for physiotherapist’s courses, Kinesiology Taping and Foundation Acupuncture, Trigger Point Acupuncture and 50 Most Useful Acupuncture Points.
She has attended the 2012 and 2013 Running Conference, focusing on gait analysis, common running injuries and causes, along with approaches to rehabilitation for running injuries. A keen runner, with an interest in rehabilitation has led to completion of a Strength and Conditioning for Runners course. She now leads a weekly Strength and Conditioning circuit class for Runners, aimed at reducing injury risk.
Prior to gaining her physiotherapy degree Sally worked as a personal trainer. Fitness is a passion of hers, both teaching and participating! She is an advanced gym instructor, having completed numerous courses including posture assessment and correction, science of torso training, kettlebell instructing and spinning.
In her spare time Sally is a keen Ultra Marathon and fell runner, regularly taking part in races from 30-60 miles in length. Recent success has led to selection in the Great Britain Team for the Trail World Championships in Annecy, France. Sally was part of the female team that placed 6th, placing 2nd Brit by coming 27th in the race.
