Amy qualified in 2008 from St Martins College (UCLAN) in Cumbria with a 1st Class Hons degree in BSc Physiotherapy. After graduating she worked in both private practice and the NHS before deciding to transition into full-time sport.
Over the years she has worked with multiple sports teams and had Lead Physiotherapist roles at both Bradford Bulls RLFC and Yorkshire Carnegie RUFC. In addition to this, she also gained experience in other sports whilst working in Loughborough University's Performance Sport department, where she provided physiotherapy for Loughborough Lightning Super League netball team, and Loughborough Lightning KSL T20 cricket team.
Clinically she enjoys combining hands-on therapy with tailored exercise programmes to help people achieve their goals and optimise function. She is keen to help patients understand the nature of their injury and develop strategies to promote recovery. She has a special interest in injury prevention, sports injuries and return to play rehabilitation.
Amy is currently undertaking an MSc in Specialist Physiotherapy Practice at Sheffield Hallam University. She enjoys spending her spare time training at the gym, going to gigs and festivals, or travelling.
Our team are ready and waiting to assist with your recovery.
