Physiotherapy Administrative Assistant & Receptionist
We are currently recruiting a Physiotherapy Administrative Assistant & Receptionist to provide reception and administrative support to a group of physiotherapists and consultants at our Sheffield Sandygate clinic and The Glass Yard, Chesterfield.

The role involves
Working as part of the whole team, the receptionist will provide the best level of service to our customers, face to face, over the telephone and by email. The receptionist will be responsible for completing a range of reception and administrative duties such as responding to emails, taking telephone calls, collating customers’ documents before appointments, ensuring customer details are up to date, chasing up customer referrals and taking payments, whilst assisting the senior team with regular administrative tasks.
The role will also encompass further administrative duties working for a large network of physiotherapists and orthopaedic consultants. As part of an existing team, your role will include tasks like emailing patients, booking appointments, issuing referrals to network clinics, managing consultant diaries, and personally assisting consultants within the clinic setting.
Hours of Work
The role has a basic weekly shift pattern:
Monday: 9-5
Tuesday:9-5
Thursday:10-6
The suitable candidate will be required to be flexible, and expected to assist with other reception hours when required to cover team absence and sickness.
The clinics are open 8am-8pm Monday to Thursday, 8am to 5pm Fridays and 8am to 1pm Saturdays.
Although the role will be predominantly based at our head office, 3 Sandygate Park Sheffield S10 5TZ you may be asked to work at our Chesterfield clinic as necessary and must be available to do so. The part-time role may become full-time and encorporate both sites in the near future.
The successful candidate
You will be an excellent communicator, customer service orientated, well-organised and reliable. Be able to work using your own initiative whilst maintaining regular updates with your team.
You should have a professional outlook, empathetic telephone manner and understand the importance of patient confidentiality.
Knowledge and skills
To apply for this position candidates must have a background within reception and/or office administration and ideally experience within a medical environment, however commitment to providing excellence in patient service is what matters to us the most and in-house training will be given. Experience using Microsoft office packages, Excel, Word, and Outlook is essential.
