Sheffield Half Marathon
Mr Jason Howard MCSP HPC MSOM MAE

Jason qualified from Sheffield in 1987 and worked in London for a number of years at The Royal London Hospital and for some time in the country's first NHS Sports Medicine Clinic.
Jason has undertaken numerous post graduate courses including MACP (Nottingham University) and Membership of the Society of Orthopaedic Medicine (MSOM) and has always felt that running a successful private practice has to have a commitment to the local community and to contribute to by way of integrating NHS physiotherapy services to GP's and consultant-led clinics with the private clinics.
For over fifteen years The White House has provided excellent onsite physiotherapy clinics to GPs, Hospitals and local businesses. In search of ever improving the services run by The White House Jason undertook an MBA at Sheffield Hallam University and has continued to develop both the business and physiotherapy services.
Jason enjoys family life with three young sons, he runs regularly (normally with Daisy their retriever hot on his heels!), enjoys skiing, cycling, climbing and golf. Amongst his hobbies, renovating old properties is always high on their family's hit list.
Steve Canning MCSP HPC AACP

Steve has been working at the Whitehouse for six years. He qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2002 following in his family's footsteps
He carries on the tradition of family physiotherapists into the fourth generation. Steve treats a wide variety of musculoskeletal conditions, and his particular interest is in spinal rehabilitation through manual therapy and exercise.
He has recently completed levels one and two(a) of the Maitland concept, which focuses on pain relief and restoration of normal movement through mobilisation and manipulation. Steve is also a qualified and registered musculoskeletal acupuncturist. Steve is also the clinical manager at the White House clinic. In this role he organises the physiotherapy training, performs general practice management, and is always looking for new ways to move the practice forward.
In his spare time Steve is a keen runner, having done the London Marathon in 2010 and Edinburgh Marathon in 2011. He has been competing in Triathlon’s for three years, and completed his first Ironman distance event in 2010. He is also an experienced snowboarder, and will give pretty much any sport a go! You can find him at the Whitehouse in Sheffield and also the Hathersage clinic.
Irralee Andrzejowska MCSP HPC

During her school years, dancing was Irralee's passion. her interest in how the human body moves and the desire to help people led her to pursue a career in Physiotherapy.
She graduated with a Bachelor of Applied Science in Physiotherapy from Sydney University, Australia, in 1990. She spent 16 months rotating through different departments at Gosford Hospital, in New South Wales, before travelling to England.
Initially she did some locum Outpatients work around the country. She then obtained a permanent post working on the Orthopaedic Ward and Outpatients at the Royal Hallamshire Hospital until October 1993, whilst doing some evening work at the White House Clinic.
She started working full time at the White House Physiotherapy clinic in October 1993, which also included working some hours at BMI Thornbury Hospital. In 1996 she completed a Certificate of Post-Registration Combined Manipulation at Sheffield Hallam University.
In 1998 she went to work in a private practice for one year in Hamilton, New Zealand. Six months after her return to the White House Clinic, she left work to have her first daughter, in 1999. Since then, she has continued to work part-time, and had another daughter in 2001.
Irralee has been instructing Pilates classes for the last 10 years, and continues to keep up to date with regular course attendance. Her main interest is in closely examining how a patient moves and uses their bodies in their work, leisure and sport, in order to identify the movement fault underlying the injury. In this way. future recurring episodes can be avoided, and a maintenence programme can be instructed.
Outside of work, she is a keen racquetball player, runs to keep fit, and struggles to learn the piano.
Anna Wilkinson MCSP HPC

Anna Wilkinson qualified from Sheffield Hallam University in 2001. She specialises in the rehabilitation of Neurological and Orthopaedic/ Musculoskeletal injuries.
She has since been working in both Private Practice and the National Health Service. She has worked in a variety of settings both in the hospital and Community.
Anna has extensive post graduate training and has recently gained a Master Degree in Neurological Physiotherapy. She has worked at Sheffield Hallam University researching the use of technology in rehabilitation of Neurological conditions. She maintains close links with the university.
She has been involved with patients with Pulmonary Hypertension investigating effects of exercise and rehabilitation. She has made a fitness DVD for patients! Anna has presented at national and international conferences on benefits of exercise and rehabilitation.
Anna now runs More Rehab and is working alongside The White House to provide a high quality multidisciplinary therapy service to Adults and Children that require specialised neurological or respiratory rehabilitation.
Christine Antunes MCSP HPC

Christine qualified as a physiotherapist in South Africa in 1995 and started her career in a general hospital, doing mainly respiratory and orthopaedic work. She then spent three years in private practice, before moving over to England.
Christine has been working at the Whitehouse since 2002, and she currently works part time. Christine’s special interests are orthopaedics, musculo-skeletal problems and rehabilitation.
She has also done her Pilates instructor training with APPI in London. She is married, and has two daughters. In her spare time (besides running after little ones!) she keeps fit at the gym and does some swimming. She also enjoys dancing and going to the cinema.
Sally Fawcett MCSP HPC

Sally graduated with a BSc (hons) Physiotherapy from Sheffield Hallam University in June 2008. She has recently completed massage for physiotherapists and Pilates for physiotherapist’s courses.
Prior to gaining her physiotherapy degree she worked as a personal trainer. Fitness is a passion of hers, both teaching and participating! She is an advanced gym instructor, having completed numerous courses including posture assessment and correction, science of torso training, kettlebell instructing and spinning.
Sally has completed Foundation Acupuncture in 2009 and is a member of the AACP. She is also qualified in massage and Pilates and has recently completed a course in Kinesiology taping.
In her spare time Sally represents Great Britain in the Duathlon Age Group World Championships and has recently completed the Edinburgh and Dublin marathons along with numerous half marathons.
Katie Bell MCSP HPC

Katie graduated from Sheffield Hallam in 2008 with a first class BSc honours degree in Physiotherapy and secured a job as a Physiotherapy Teaching Assistant at the University for one year which was a role split into clinic, teaching and course administration.
Katie started working at the Whitehouse clinic in June 2009 and has developed and lead a brand new ‘Acute spinal service’ running across 27 GP practices in Sheffield. Katie is APPI Level 2 qualified and runs the Pilates department at the Whitehouse running 1:1 sessions and classes for women, men, post and prenatal and sport, combining both a Physiotherapy and a Pilates approach to enhance a patients recovery.
Katie is the MBT South Yorkshire representative and is a ‘Move for Health’ champion in South Yorkshire.
Katie is the Physio for the local Rugby team in Sheffield which involves lots of cold days and evenings in mud and rain, but offers another aspect to Katie’s professional job.
Katie is a keen sports player and enjoys spending time with friends and family. She has recently qualified as an Acupuncturist and is a member of the AACP and has recently completed a kinesiology taping course and is looking to begin her Masters in the near future.
David Nicholls

David nicholls is an HPC registered podiatrist specialising in the field of musculoskeletal biomechanics and the provision of Orthotics.
He has 10 years extensive experience which includes working with Physiotherapists and Orthopaedic surgeons, armed service contracts, treating a range of conditions from foot and heel pain to acute and chronic spinal conditions.
This service is an ideal complement to the treatment and care from the White house physiotherapy team.
Tom Doran - Bsc (Hons) Sports rehabilitation and Injury Prevention

Whilst at University, Tom spent 4 months in Australia at the world renowned Melbourne Golf Injury Clinic (MGIC) under the supervision of Ramsay McMaster, a leading authority in golf specific fitness and rehabilitation.
During this time, Tom worked closely with coaches and players at the Victiorian and Australian institutes for golf. He also spent time working with the number one amateur player in the world to prepare him for professional golf.

After graduating in 2007, Tom was asked to return to Australia to continue working with elite golfers and gain more experience. He initially went to Adelaide to work at the South Australian College for Elite Golf. During this time Tom worked with biomechanics experts who gave him the opportunity to study the golf swing from different aspects physically and biomechanically. This experience has given Tom a great base knowledge to work with when prescribing golf conditioning programmes.
After his stay in Adelaide, Tom went back to MGIC to further his knowledge with Ramsay. Whilst back in Melbourne, Tom worked with players from the European Tour, PGA Tour, Asian Tour, Ladies European and LPGA tours and the smaller EPD tour in Germany. Tom gained valuable experience working with these professional players at the top level and has got a great insight into the golf swing and the areas which need to improved in order to improve performance and shoot lower scores.
During his spare time Tom plays golf on a regular basis along with football and is constantly looking to lower his handicap.
Helen Dinneen - BSc (Hons) MCSP HPC

Helen graduated from Kings College London in 2000 with a BSc (Hons) Physiotherapy.
Since qualifying as a a physiotherapist Helen has worked for several NHS trusts as a Junior and Senior physiotherapist in a variety of settings including Accident and Emergency, orthopaedics, paediatrics and outpatients. Helen also lived in Ireland for nearly two years from 2004 to 2006 mostly working in a private practice and with a rugby team.
Prior to University and until her first son was born in 2007 Helen did charity work with the Catholic Association on eight pilgrimages to Lourdes taking pilgrims who needed assistant to the hospital and grotto in Lourdes. She has also worked on many St John's Handicapped Children's Trust summer camps.
Helen has also completed a number of pilate and musculoskeletal courses. Helen joined the White House in 2009, she then went on Maternity leave in 2010 after the birth of her second son. Helen is now back at the White House and is teaching ante natal pilates as well as beginner pilates and 1:1 sessions.
